He promised me on IRC that he would act mean all the way through, only voting for articles that actually made him laugh, ignoring articles by his friends if he's not amused, and voting against on a regular basis with comments like "This was a fucking drag to read" on the side. Otherwise, he promises to give lip whenever he can, becoming a fucking nuisance. Nah - He was a good writer, but he's been pretty dedicated to drama for the past while. Let him come see us on IRC, but let his ban ride out -its only a few months at the end of the day and he can make up his own mind after a think on his retirement.
