I made an account so my IP address wouldn't be revealed, but I did that BEFORE I added edits on a page, so the edit history shows my IP address. Also, I would not like my account edits on the history also... Can an admin please do this? Thank you. It's doable, but is it entirely necessary? Because there's really nothing that anybody could do with your IP address that they couldn't do with other certain tools, and it's not like the IP address listed in history is the private address of your actual computer. -RAHB 03:07, November 12, 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for your response! I know this may seem trivial to you, but I am a very paranoid person who would prefer the removal of the requested edits. Thank you very much. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Patrickable3 (talk • contribs)
Alright. I mean there's literally nothing to worry about but, I suppose there's no harm in doing it. -RAHB 03:30, November 12, 2012 (UTC)
Okay, that's done. For future reference though, individual edit deletions are not an actual privilege that administrators have on this wiki, so I had to take the cheater's way and delete the article, and then restore it without restoring the requested edits. This effectively makes those edits invisible, but administrators could still restore them at any future time although they'd have no reason to that I can see. Unless the article were deleted and restored for some other reason. This kind of request usually isn't fulfilled because that whole thing gets rather complicated, and there's no way that we can just keep an eye on those edits that are floating around in some server somewhere. As a networking technician I can once again assure you that there's absolutely no reason that editing the website with your IP address exposed makes you any more vulnerable than you are in initially connecting to the internet at all to begin with, but we'll choose to believe what we believe there. Anyway, welcome to Uncyclopedia, and here are a couple editing tips. You should sign your posts on forums and talk pages by using the four tildes {~~~~). You can link to articles on the wiki by using the double brackets ([[Your article here]]), and the conversation flow that you see is accomplished by adding semi-colons to each talk or forum entry. Feel free to ask if there's anything more you need. -RAHB 03:38, November 12, 2012 (UTC)
Actually, it isn't semi-colons. It's regular colons. My bad. -RAHB 05:26, November 12, 2012 (UTC)
Lies! It's super-colons! Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 20:39, November 12, 2012 (UTC)
