- I actually think this reskin is pretty badass. Granted, I wasn't around back in the glory days of reskins, and this is actually the first one I've seen in practice, but I still think it's pretty flippin' cool. - Why in my days we used to play Doom or Nuke Nuke'em and make references to those games, before that it was the 2D Castle Wolfenstien on the Apple // series before it was remade into Wolfenstien 3D for MS-DOS and then later ID software made Doom and added in Wolfenstien 3D levels. I'm still waiting for the Duke Nuke'em Forever game and I heard it might be available for the Windows 9, Playstation 5, and XBox 4096 systems in about 10 years time tops. But this Halo of which you speak, is Microsoft's vain attempt at a Doom type game. Once you've played one you've played them all. Call of Duty 4, SOCOM Navy Seals, Half-Life, Counterstrike, Left 4 Dead, Halo, are basically the same game but with different weapons and backgrounds and enemies and uniforms, but all play the same way as Doom did before them all. Excuse me while I crank up my Atari 2600 system and play Berserk, one of the original shooter type games that most other games got based upon. P.S. Get off my lawn you young punks! In my days when we played video games we didn't have cheat codes and downloadable content to help us out in video games, and we liked it that way. :) --Lt. Yeah its just for a day, except we had Modus's odd picture guy a couple days prior (slow day at the old VFH?), and the reskin doesn't look anything like the typical frontpage. Reskins are alright (not great, but tolerable) if they maintain the same structure properties (how many times has Wikipedia reskinned like this?!). And yes, you all can enjoy it as regular users, understand that an unfamiliar new user takes one look at this and says "what the fuck is this weird shit? Oh well, off to Facebook." That could've been me even, and then we wouldn't have any good articles around this place at all. Think about it people. --THINKER 09:41, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
