My two cents. Tell me to fuck off if I'm honestly no longer relevant. Please. Seriously. I'll retreat if this is the case. Correct me - I have always been correctable if I have ever been anything.

I apologize if it feels like I'm some oldy coming in from long ago who doesn't get how things work these days. I am hoping that these two ridiculous satire sites can stop being so confusingly separate... I left when the fork happened and haven't looked back.

I hope that there is some way this divide can be remedied, and I get the feeling here that assimilation is erasure. If I had stuck around after the 2013 divide, here is where I would have stayed. I stated as much over there tonight.

I don't actually mean to wax emotional. I have a few brilliant horoscopes to post, and I could UnNews today like I once did, but I won't do it until there is one place to do so. Sorry. Welcome back from the Uncyclopedian Dead GlobalTourniquet! I addressed this issue indirectly in my article Schism post-split. The forum discussion Forum:Hosting options for Uncyclopedia_(wikia) is giving users here the available choices of hosting. Hail fellow Unjournalist! I'm afraid unification would mean erasure. User:Simsilikesims is active in both places and best explains that we have come to focus on the reader, they put more focus on the editor. We are more faithful to parodying Wikipedia (despite continuing impediments from Wikia) and they look for new directions. We are a democratic republic with an offshore high court, they are a dictatorship/personality cult. PS--Follow-on sentences are my opinion not hers.

It is hopeful to reunite the "community," but a community is a herd speaking with a single voice, and even this group doesn't.

Merging isn't erasure. I never really know which place to go which is why I rarely go to either. Just because someone who left a long time ago still holds a grudge - and it really appears to be a grudge (justified or not) doesn't mean we shouldn't just go for it. I know it can be confusing and upsetting. It's a shame the split drove people away. Some remaining here have already decided they don't want to get back together, though, so there is no "us" to "go for it". Merging this site into the other one means killing it. There is no way around that. You can't vote on what individual volunteers will do with their time. There is only one Uncyclopedia and it's split in half. I just think it's a shame. Merging wouldn't mean killing anything. Anyway, if you all don't want to do it, I guess it wont happen, but hope it all goes well whatever happens. Matt lobster (talk) 12:35, March 17, 2019 (UTC)

If we're getting philosophical here, we live in a universe where entropy is an inescapable law. Nothing (since the Big Bang/In the Beginning) is created without something else being destroyed. We live in a universe of constant change. This site will soon be destroyed. That's not a law of physics, but it seems pretty likely.

There are a number of people who want to see a merger; if you count both those here and at uncyclopedia.co, apparently significantly more who want a merger than want them separate. I became inactive before the split which happened because Wikia was placing more restrictions on content. Some chose to go with freedom, some chose to stay and protect what was here, both perfectly valid choices in my opinion. The option to stay here is now over.  King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? I believe we may be talking about two different things. I believe by "option(s)" you're talking about the latest version of the "what do we do with uncyclopedia.wikia.com" vote (assuming it is the latest version; I haven't yet checked today).
