Yeah, anyone trying to nom an article, request a pee, or start a new forum topic may have noticed it doesn't exactly work. Instead it creates pages in mainspace, or tries to edit the articles already there in the case of noms. The ever-knowledgeable Spang says this is because "Wikia are useless". When pushed further, he admitted they have "updated the inputbox extension to one that doesn't support the prefix= parameter for "create" type inputboxes" - which is the source of the problem here. I've moaned at Sannse in the hope something can be fixed, but in the meantime, just be aware of this minor hiccup, and watch you know what you're doing when creating those types of pages.

  • Yeah, well I was leaving work and couldn't be arsed to see if there was already a forum topic about it, but wanted to mention it so people knew what was what. You can obviously create forums, pees, VFH noms and the like in the longer-winded fashion by creating a page in the right namespace and copying the appropriate templates in, or you can just do what you will in the existing forums until something of a fix-y nature happens. --UU - natter 18:25, Feb 24
