Goalie Greg Pull in action.

Gregory John Pull is a virtual hockey player born in 1991 in the EA Sports's famous NHL game franchise. Known as a prank for Noob players in the game, as he was supposed to be "allegedly" the best goalie the team had. Veteran NHL Franchise player often trick their opponent in the early 90's to choose Greg Pull as their Goalie thinking the one they got sucked.

Problem was soon to be found that Mr. Pull, once chosen, was not reliable, every single time he got called up on the ice, he was nowhere to be found forcing the team to add an extra attacker.

Pull's claim to fame is that he was the only player that was under contract with every NHL team at the same time.

Greg Pull had an incredible run as NHL 3rd backup goalie for every team, except for one season due to injury and was replaced by French Canadian Pierre None. We owe Greg Pull the expression "Pulling the Goalie" now often used in regular NHL Games and becoming standard procedure also in most IIHF sanctioned match when a team falls behind on the scoreboard near the end of the game.

A movement started on social media in early 2019 to consider Greg Pull's hockey contribution by inducting him in the Hockey Hall Of Fame. The Hashtag #GregPullHOF2020 is the official trending hashtag for support of this incredible goalie in hockey history.
