“I used to play Maplestory, but then my gf dumped me”

~ My english teacher

MapleStory or more commonly referred to as "cancer" is a free to play MMOWEG (Massively Multiplayer Online Wallet Emptying Game) , produced by a group "wizet boss" then published by a company called 'Neckson'

It is primarily based around repeatably slaying pixelated snails, advancing to the next stage and unlocking more abilities to once again, slay more snails. It is well known for its in game micro-transactions, distributing virtual currency referred to as "Neckson Cash" or "Ncks".

History[edit]

Maplestory is a 1 Dimensional 2D side-scrolling Massively Multiplayer Online Wallet Emptying Game made in 1874 in the Industrial Revolution where children, mainly young prepubescent boys whom got bored, like most children around 12 years of age, so they developed an 8 bit animated cartoonish game to become unbored. They referred to themselves as 'wizet b0ss'.

Development[edit]

The game stayed quite mediocre for a while, well until the era ultimate boration, where young adolscents became very bored to the extent that they all decided to play MapleStory. It probably wasn't their best choice.
The era created the new generation of prepubescent boys whom established the company 'Neckson' to licence maplestory, for good.
Up to now, Maplestory has received frequent updates which changed the original game state overall. One would suggest that based on the previous evidence, players of the game would like the game. However, this isn't really the case.

Starting the game[edit]

Neckson employs numerous Asian computer experts to update their software and maintain the game. That is why the game starts up so well. Well... Not always

Game[edit]

MapleStory is a MMOWEG, in which the player of the game spends most of his/her time repeatably holding down a binded hotkey while pressing the arrow keys for up to 6 hours a day, depending on the situation at hand.
A newly created character in game starts off at level 1 to advance all the way to the maximum level of 250. Along the way, characters reach milestones called "job advancements" in which they get newer and better abilities to kill snails. However, in some special cases, characters may remain a beginner, forever .

Updates[edit]

Maplestory provides excellent updates to its -8bit servers frequently.
Major updates are scheduled at least twice a year, with added content and new classes. Bugs and glitches are fixed, hacks patched, basically everything is done, - well except for server lag and botters which still thrive on every single map which sort of renders the game unplayable - But again, that doesn't really matter.

Major Update Controversy[edit]

Despite Neckson's 'hardest' efforts to provide each and every one of the maplians with outstanding updates, fixed bugs and new content, many maplians still find an excuse to hate on their game owners for making the patch.

Gameplay[edit]

MapleStory's graphics always are kept up to date, presenting the most High Definition graphics in the Gaming industry.
Up to now, MapleStory has updated to a whopping 150x300 Resolution with the option to set the graphics level from "Fast" to "Fancy"! The framerate is overall effectively smooth, running at an average of a whopping 12 fps!
Neckson states that the average fps will be maximised to its fullest potential once it has relinquished of all its enemies, often referred to as "hax0rs". Neckson states that the upgrade is due within 100-200 years from now once it has upgraded the speeds of its servers.

Micro-Transactions[edit]

Neckson offers a variety of micro-transactions in game. The premium currency, so called 'nx' is to be bought with real money.

Conversion Rate[edit]

The conversion rate is as follows:

  • $1=1000nx
  • $5=5000nx
  • $10=10,000nx
  • $25=25,000nx
  • $50=50,000nx
  • etc

Ilegal sellage of nx[edit]

The illegal sellage of nx is always present in Maplestory. It is against MapleStory's Terms of Service. However, as people regularly sell illegal nx for real life money, Neckson obviously wants to track down the offenders - although the illegal sellage of nx does assist with Neckson's financial goals but nevertheless Neckson obviously cares about its Terms of Service and is glad to announce that it will track down all the offenders, well just not all the times of course.

Technical Support[edit]

"MapleStory offers experienced tech supports which are always free and open to help players" - Neckson
Its no wonder why Neckson's top notch tech support is so extremely helpful to the community.
Take a very special example of a Maplian named 'xpuSydestoryerX'
xpuSydestoryerX was just a normal maplian when a hacker struck his account and made him lose all of his hard earned work which he achieved over using his mother's credit card for the in game currency Neckson Cash
xpuSydestoryerX became very sad that he lost his hard earned progress and so sent a ticket to Neckson's Tech support.
However, xpusydestoryerX didnt get a reply back, and became very depressed so he went onto the game and tried to ask some maplians for help.
"Go fcuck your self" one person told him, adding an extra c in front of u to avoid chat filter.
Depressed, xpusydestoryerX eventually killed himself.
The end

What is important to learn here is that xpusydestoryerX didn't set his password to at least 1 capital letter and 1 number, and that is why Neckson always reminds everyone to do so. Well, even though most hackers can hack into most accounts without a password anyways - but that doesnt matter, Neckson is always right

As shown here, the maplian community highly appreciates the help of they're wonderful tech support
