Re: Vanity tag--I go to school here, and goshdarnit, other schools near us like Texas A&M are on uncyclopedia, even though their page is crappy. I wrote this a while ago and it was originally mocking our school's PR page, but since then has branched out into mocking recent controversies and student culture. It got a VFD vote for vanity, but geez--it's college humor. Sure, some of the things are definitely Texas audience specific, but that's where we are. I guess in order to understand a parody, you have to be able to understand the place to begin with, which I don't think the guy who wrote "vanity" understood. If he read past the first paragraph, it's anything but complimentary. The overtly religious culture is definitely make-funnable, as is this "Vision 2012" that's really screwing up the school. I know I'm not the funniest person, so I just got around to posting it on a few other sites in hopes that someone will pick up where my not funny left off! <3 / KappaDelta 06:42, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
I think this fits more accurately under the "cruft" catergory, rather than "vanity". I don't get most of this article, but I'll leave it up to the Americans here to decide what to do with it.

- Pretty funny, except for a few minor things. First off, there's too many red links and not enough real links. You can just fix this by linking to actual articles. Also, you used the wrong titles. All of the "= =" should be "== ==". --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 16:39, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

You left a fine vein unmined -- "Vision 2012 was Dean Krumbagel's plan for bringing the eyesight of history majors up to a 20:12 standard. Krumbagel's successor, Dean Jimmycap, wanted a bigger and better plan and so initiated Vision 2015; his successor, Fred the Talking Frog, upped the ante to 20:19. So far, however, the eyesight of students in the history department has gone from myopic to dystopic. Frankly, most of them are now stone blind and liable to light their girlfriends' noses instead of their cigarettes." Why in this Texas article is there no reference to the Alamo, prickly pears, or crude oil? "During Alamo Texas Pride Days all Baylor students wear hats made of prickly pears, and the Student Onion serves armadillo heads sauteéd in light sweet Texas crude."
