Beginning article count: 18,591
Ending count: 17,178

Remember: Only YOU can prevent crappy articles.

Forest Fire Week is a chance for Uncyclopedia admins and users to forgo the usual formalities in removing mediocre content (i.e. anything that has been created since the previous FFW). It's like spring cleaning but much more violent and pleasurable.

During Forest Fire Week admins have more leeway to delete bad articles, and you—yes, YOU—can help us out. List bad articles you find in the space provided below—you can skip the NRVing, Ugly-ing, and everything else. Of course, the admins will remove anything sufficiently not terrible, so try to exercise good judgment, yes? And do check the page histories first to look for vandalism.

For premium results, we recommend Random Page Roulette. Simply click Special:Randompage until you find a bad article, list it here, rinse and repeat. Or you could check Category:Rewrite or other pages tagged with a maintenance template. It's up to you. If we happen to delete an article you really really like, and you'd do anything to get it back, check the Huff Log to see which admin deleted it and take it up with him or her. If you can't find it in the log, make a note of it on the talk page of this article.

Note for Admins:
For some other articles which need to be deleted, see Project:Maintenance, Special:BrokenRedirects and Special:DoubleRedirects.

I believe the following are part of one of KP's labyrinthine article collections. There are a lot of these and I'm not about to look through them all now, but I assume they serve a purpose. In conclusion, VFD would be a better place for these if people still want them gone after Forest Fire Week:

No, I believe that's all. The rest have been huffed. All of them could be found in a single category. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 19:38, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
In other words, there's gonna be some undeleting next time he checks in... —rc (t) 19:43, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Possibly... ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 19:49, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Just out of curiosity, why are we doing this in a pseudo-alphabetical way? Within the 4 alphabetical categories, they are just listed in the order that they are entered. Maybe we could drop the categories and just have the users arrange them alphabetically. Even easier (and more logical) would be to drop the alphabetical order completely and just have them arranged in the order that they are entered. CatastrophicToad 04:57, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

The sections are just to avoid edit conflicts - last night when the burning began people were having a lot of trouble because a goodly number of users were trying to edit the page at once. This way there's less of a chance of conflicts since each section can be edited independently. —rc (t) 05:15, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Oh, ok. CatastrophicToad 05:32, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Edit conflicts are still problematic for attempting to sorting multiple entries; perhaps we could just divvy it up into unsorted sections for upwards of 10 or so at a time. --DW III CUN.pngOUN.png 18:48, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Random Page

Last I checked, random page wasn't actually random. Is its bias significant enough to make some pages more/less likely to be found and deleted than others? --Spin 22:59, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

I don't know the machinations, but as long as pages aren't omitted based on inter-page criteria, the gain/loss of pages should perturb the bias enough that everything gets hit. So, the more we delete, the greater chance we'll have of stirring up more to delete, until there's just the Main_Page left, and everyone knows that that can't be deleted. :) Bone F clear.png Sir Famine, Gun Petition » 01:07, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Huffed Article, and Policy Question

Evening. Just discovered that my article, formerly The Taming of the Loompa was huffed. I had neglected to check this page to see if it was on the list, but immediately went to add things after I noticed an NRV template slapped on. In retrospect, I'd forgotten about the article and it seemed somewhat childish--even with revisions; so it's more a love for the work I did, than for the content itself. I was just under the impression that NRV templates would still be honored. I guess, I'm asking if NRV's still count, until the end of the week at least, and if not should there be a clear(er) indication to that fact? Danke --epynephrin 03:44, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Wasn't the banner on the front page a clear indication? Or the text at the top of this project page which states "Forest Fire Week is a chance for Uncyclopedia admins and users to forgo the usual formalities in removing mediocre content". No rules - anarchy - fires - murder in the streets! It's like Detroit after the Pistons win the NBA championship! Still, we have a heart, and I've moved your article to User:Epynephrin/The Taming of the Loompa. If you finish it, feel free to move it back to it's former home. I'll probably forget about it again... So, there is no way to prevent an article from being huffed once it's placed in the line of forest fire? I'm just checking for loopholes more than anything else. I'm taking that as "Loopholes? We don't need no stinkin' loopholes"--epynephrin 14:27, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
I think it's fair to remove entries from the list and put them here on the talk page for review if you think they're really worth keeping. —rc (t) 17:30, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Common People

I think common people is hilarious.

I agree it should not be huffed. Important reference for those who don't get it. May I also request that The Donkey Kong Syndrome be saved? I don't think it's that bad. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 18:36, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Both are out of harm's way (for now). --DW III CUN.pngOUN.png 18:54, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

"Theme" Articles

I may be alone, but I think "Blur" and "Hypnotism" are rather funny!

Dope should be cache'd into another article

another theme article is This Article Were Written By A Crazy Person I think, maybe it should be put into the rule book as an example

Gorillaz

Why the hell is Gorillaz up for deletion? It is an okay article :(

Not now. Every FFW, our standards double. By 2010, even pages like The Oldest Trick in the Book will be FFW'd. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 17:39, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Umm...

Any particular reason that the articles are all in those funny little boxes? It vexes me.--The One and Only Czar Yah 23:50, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

To be like QVFD. Also, because on computers (at least on all computers I've seen), to get an "*" you need to press shift+8, while to get a " " you only need to pres the pig button at the bottom of the keyboard. So it's easiest. At least easier than the original way. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 16:15, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
My computer doesn't have a "pig button". Is this some kind of rural input device that I haven't heard of? Can it get me free bacon in exchange for pressing it / refferring freinds to do the same? -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 19:12, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Male Birth Control Pills

If that article is not deleted soon, I'm going to faint. Seriously, it's that bad.--Conrad Devonshire Talk 20:25, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Hitler and the Nazis

This page was made only today! I find it highly likely that it will be expanded upon!

You can remove it from the list and post it here on the talk page for review. —rc (t) 00:02, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
