Along with the predictable small-genitalia joke, the article made a fine move toward unpopularity as "miniaturization" and gave a nod to the perverse effects of ever-smaller electronics.     'Cruft' in the context for this website is stuff about a place or something so obscure that only very few people will understand what you are trying to make fun of. Like writing about your mates or writing unfunny fan fiction. Our other benchmark is referring to Wikipedia - see if it covered there.     The adaptable disparaging term includes nominator's "fan-cruft" (meaning a contribution meant to glorify the band rather than amuse anyone) and "listcruft" (meaning a list meant to do who-knows-what? apart from show inability to write a complete paragraph).     The motive behind the policy is notification to the authors and a 24-hour chance to defend one's work. Provided these safeguards are met, we have allowed multiple pages per ballot, as well as a Forum that proposes mass deletions, as in the 2013 jihad against English Towncruft. Spıke Ѧ 15:50 8-Apr-15
