  1. Symbol delete vote.svg Delete. Okay, so the joke (which isn't original to Uncyclopedia) is that "Dihydrogen monoxide" is one of several valid chemical names for the stuff better known as water. Anon in 2017 created a page with a joke title, great. Only, he doesn't go on to actually tell the joke, never again using the term but rambling about water and peeing.   • By the way, "hydrogen oxide" is simpler and equally valid; the atoms' numbers of bonds means they will naturally occur two H's for every O, no need for the name to specify. So the very title is the error of assuming more complicated means more encyclopedic; see CoW. With that in mind, I have resuscitated and cleaned up Rickyrab's article, killed N.R.V. in 2006.
