    It's certainly your right not to consider this type of humour funny, though a VFD vote is more about whether an article's humour fits on the wiki. If you don't consider the article's humour worthy of being called "humour", that's another matter entirely. Once there's stuff in them, they apply to a whole lot of pages, and when there's no stuff, admins just delete them whenever as part of general maintenance. Although it's not like categories technically can be deleted anymore, anyway, something about Wikia... changing them. Remove the content, yes. But actually make them go away according to the software, not so much.

  • The spelling mistakes are not really a problem here; we don't really delete things because of technical errors. Actually, the reason for FFW was so that the wiki could be made more manageable. Because we have so many articles here (30,000+), our standards for keeping an article have increased dramatically over the years. This article does have potential... if you were to put it in your userspace where you could spend as much time as you like on it, and also request a Pee Review, I think it could be improved enough to mainspace it again. Well, after all this leads me to an interesting question: if one does not find something funny - is THAT a reson for deletion or isn't it a personal view? Closer view: This is a milestone because someone (me!) publishes an article in three languages in three nonsense wikis at the same time. Noone has ever done that before - I am sure. Unfortunately, humor is (this discussion prvoes it very well!) hard to translate and I added some jokes (at least which I myself consider funny) especially for the English Text. Now there is the personal view that this is not funny? True of course, but for those reasons there is Special:Random Article - not a deletion. Does this article really disturb anyone? Are those articles kept so much "better"?! It sure is full of stereotypes because it draws indeed a lousy view on the Middle East as well as on the Iranian Society. It does NOT consist of "stereotypes-only" but it draws its humor out of the collage of ridiculous stereotypes. Maybe we are just about to find out THAT German humor and American humor and Norwegian Humor (by the way the Norwegian Ikkepedia made me "User of the month August 2009" BECAUSE of this article..., it was my only publishing there) differ. Um, folks on Uncyclopedia "VFD" stuff because it doesn't make them laugh, or because it is stupid, is too short, is pointless, or because their butts were itchy and whilst scratching them, their other hand accidentally hit the wrong button. In short, "VFD" exists as a (sort-of) formal forum where people can say, "Does anyone else think that this is total shit, and that it would be ok to get rid of it?" Lazy people seeking consensus, approval, and admiration...that's all VFD is.
