Oh Dear...

Beware! The evil eye is upon thee!

Hello, Vavaunni, and welcome to Uncyclopedia! Unfortunately, we've noticed that your "work so far" has not met our standards for the main encyclopedia. In other words — not to put too fine a point on it — it has been crap.

But all is not yet lost. Your edits gave someone the impression you are not a spambot but a person who might benefit from instruction. If it were clearer that you had arrived just to plant advertisements, racism, or swears on our pages, banning you from the website would have been simpler and quicker.

If you thought you were making good edits, then perhaps before you make more of them, you might click some or all of the links in the box below — because doing more of what you were doing will only prove that a warning like this wasn't enough. You might begin with the Beginner's Guide, then perhaps advance to our style guide at How To Be Funny And Not Just Stupid.

You can reply to me below, or on my own talk page (by clicking on my signature below). If you think it was unfair that you got this message, you can ask an Admin to intervene and decide. Whenever posting to a talk page, please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button (Button sig.png) above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date. Or you can add the following: {{help}} to this page along with a message and someone will come along and give guidance on anything you are unclear about. In the meantime, you can practice for a few days in your userspace rather than in the encyclopedia itself.

J.K. Rowling[edit]

I can't help noticing that your first-ever edit was to delete an entire paragraph. Although unflattering, its removal leaves the entire section unreadable, as we never know what led Rowling to "feel ill." Changes you make to this wiki ought to keep the result coherent. Don't just rip out a paragraph you dislike. Spıke Ѧ 16:03 25-Dec-14

  1. Thanks for the corrections at Gregory House.
  2. Use Pee Review to get comments on an article you have written. Do not use Pee Review to ask a policy question. Do not even use the Forum, as it is not necessary to broadcast your question; ask me on my talk page or one of the Admins.
  3. Especially do not ask your question in the Change Summary. You created a page that asks for someone else to review someone else's article, and the page does not contain the point you raised.
  4. Now, onto the point you raised. Crude humor is permitted, but not vital, and does sometimes detract from the joke being told. This is set out in How To Be Funny And Not Just Stupid, which not everyone reads. The joke in this case is that Rowling wrote an eighth book that was so bad it made her sick. As above, for you to delete entirely the reason it was so bad was not an improvement.
  5. Thank you for doing a Pee Review as well as just requesting it. But you might be more helpful. I can see only two bits of specific advice for the author: manage the length, and don't recur to sex-and-drugs. Sex-and-drugs is a trite and overused theme, but it is a theme, and might hold an article together. "The humor is everywhere, but I didnt laugh" is cryptic and as much a comment on your tastes as on the writing. "the humor seriously needs to be improved upon" is no way to end a review — improve, how?
  6. The VFH ballot you opened was for a nonexistent article, as shown by the page title in red. Always click Preview to see how your edits will look before you click Save; in this case, you would have seen that the page is misspelled. Spıke Ѧ 09:27 26-Dec-14

Hi Vavaunni and thanks for your two reviews! You sum up things very nicely, and my only suggestion would be to try giving the authors preciser suggestions. Sometimes, you have written an article and know that something doesn't work but have no idea how to fix it or what it is that doesn't work exactly. Such things are easier to spot for the reader than for the writer. Are you going to write an article yourself? It would be a pleasure for me to review it! Anton (talk) 16:47, January 1, 2015 (UTC)

Uncyclopedia:Pee Review/Minecraft[edit]

Again: Do not use Pee Review after making a single edit to broadcast a request for people to tell you how you did. In any case, Anton199 has told you with his partial revert, as have I (in the Change Summary) with my complete revert at Narendra Modi. Spıke Ѧ 16:56 1-Jan-15

If you do a first draft of an article, and it does not look like an Uncyclopedia article, do not leave it in the main encyclopedia. This is now in your userspace, where you can continue editing it at your leisure at the name shown above. This means it is not done. Spıke Ѧ 21:34 3-Jan-15

Blue Screen of Death[edit]

Hi Vavaunni! Just so you know, the article you nominated has already been featured. You can search for the good ones that haven't yet been, amongst or just by tapping on the Random page button in the left toolbar. Also, if you are interested, we are currently working on determining the Top 10 Features of 2014, so click on the link if you'd like to participate! Anton (talk) 13:30, January 4, 2015 (UTC)

Votes for Deletion[edit]

Thank you for your votes! Regarding your new nomination, please read the rules completely. VFD is not for articles that have just been created. Admins catch these and do the right thing with them (improve, userspace, or delete). VFD is to delete an established page and gives the author the right of defending his work, getting a vote, and having 24 hours to fix it up. Spıke Ѧ 13:39 4-Jan-15

Please read the rules. Use {{Redirect}} to ask that redirects be deleted so people don't delete the pointed-to article by mistake. Also, it is conventional to prepend one space, and to not sign requests. Spıke Ѧ 10:34 8-Jan-15

I think you intended to move Classic book to User:Vavaunni/Classic book, rather than User:Classic book. I will let you fix that yourself. Next time, perhaps create a new article directly in your own userspace. Good day. Ye Blacke Adder (talk) 11:10, January 8, 2015 (UTC)

Nah, I'll do it; otherwise he will have another QVFD request to make and I'll have to correct him again. Spıke Ѧ 11:23 8-Jan-15

What I love about you, Spike, is your cheery conversation, sunny disposition, and your unique style of putting your views across delicately. --Vavaunni (talk) 15:00, January 8, 2015 (UTC)
