I'm having a problem with having my category page relocate to Tom and Jerry. (This was an Unews category, so I would like that archived post on there.)

I'm not seeing any Tom and Jerry category or Tom and Jerry (or Tom & Jerry). Can you post a link, or explain further this issue that you are having? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 17:30, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

"Tom and Jerry" as an article on a subpage of his userpage: he seems to want to move it to UnNews for some reason? I'm not sure why this would belong in UnNews, as that subproject is intended to parody the contents of today's newspaper, and an article on the Tom and Jerry cartoon characters doesn't fit that description whatever its merits (or lack thereof). In other words, dunno --66.102.80.212 18:16, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Ah, User:MrCleveland/Tom and Jerry. Um, MrCleveland, despite there being a date on that page, it's not really an UnNews. Nevertheless, to move a page, click "move" above (between "history" and "unwatch"). That should move it. Speaking of move it...

Tom and Jerry is moved to Tom and Jerry. I hope it stays. MrCleveland 21:53, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Hmmmm. Proofreading, anyone? Spang talk 22:13, 30 Mar 2008
Dude, I proofreaded it. Proofreaded it old skool! Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 22:56, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Long unfunny lists of people's names (People who were on Tom's side, People who were on Jerry's side, People who hated Tom and Jerry...) detract from the article, they add nothing of value. Also, if the idea is that cats have nine lives and you've used them all up, say so in the intro - too much of this already looks more random than funny, and "the cat went to Hell and was spit back" doesn't make sense except in the context of a cat having nine lives. --66.102.80.212 02:10, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
I agree very muchly with Mr IP, here. Check out UN:LIST and HTBFANJS, and take this into consideration: I'd rather here an in-depth analysis of how these five or six people didn't like the show then reading a boring list of two dozen names. Lists tend to only work if they:
      • are short
      • are fleshed out
      • are funny
      • are short
Try to stay away from the random, too. Did I mention HTBFANJS? It's handy. - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon Baloon.gif(Tick Tock) (Contribs) 02:51, Mar 31

Yeah, MrCleveland. Please listen to these guys, they know what they're talking about. Although your lists are comprised of mostly blue links (which shows far more effort than I usually see put into lists), they still really add nothing to the article. You really need to flesh out each section dealing with each individual life as well. It'll never stand as one sentence apiece. I like where you're going with this, but it really still needs more work so it doesn't end up at VFD. Tom and Jerry deserve a good article and you've got a good start here, if you need help don't be afraid to ask. Good luck. --OptyC Sucks! Icons-flag-us.png CUN 15:15, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
