Shit just got real. Once again, I believe we should place a charity banner on the front page or the top of the site, possibly with a witty but tasteful joke at our expense. Or not. That's not bad. It needs to be smaller and less redundant with the word Japan. We could also make alternative templates that change with the page views using the <choose><option> tags for maximum amusement. We could make more jokes that play on Japanese stereotypes, as well as other countries affected by the disaster. Might I suggest the Red Cross instead?

I like that suggestion - the page above (on the first banner) links to a news page rather than a charity site. The Red Cross is also international. If I were any good at making pictures, I might make a sad Hello Kitty, with a request for donations. (Unfortunately, I only have MS Paint.)Simsilikesims 01:41, March 12, 2011 (UTC)

After Hurricane Katrina, No Orleans received a ton of edits. But there haven't been any edits to Japan since December, and no response of any sort aside from this Village Dump topic. Why is that?
