Please link words in your DIDYOUKNOW entries to increase the linkiness of the 'pedia. Please.--Machinecurse 20:46, 6 Apr 2005 (EDT)

Like e said above, please link words in your DIDYOUKNOW entries to increase the linkiness of the 'pedia. Please!! And please lead with the word "...that" unless it would screw up the grammar! --Bouahat 20:11, 4 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Is it OK to prune the Did you Know section as it's making the main page look untidy as it's so long? --Elvis 20:04, 28 Apr 2005 (EDT)

Is there a way to rerun the thumb creation for the bird picture, the brown background looks awful?--Elvis 06:41, 9 May 2005 (EDT)

I just wanted to say whoever's been working on the DidYouKnow template lately has been doing a kickass job; I've needed a good laugh. Been away from the 'pedia for a bit. And FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE delete this comment after it gets like a week old. --Ahmed the Jewess 05:29, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)

You didn't delete the comment. You bastards. --Ahmed the Jewess 02:03, 29 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Is everyone allowed to add a Did You Know? Because I want to add '...that that joke you just told was about as funny as Cancer?'.--Joe857 20:16, 6 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Yep, anyone can edit the template. --—rc (t) 20:19, 6 Nov 2005 (UTC)
But please don't add stuff like that. It's not funny. If something on there isn't funny, just delete it. Uncyclopedia is not a message board! --Carlos the Mean 17:32, 7 Nov 2005 (UTC)
I thought it was funny. Not that funny, but it's better than most of the crap added to DYK. --[[User:Nintendorulez|Nintendorulez | talk]] 12:29, 12 Dec 2005 (UTC)

I would just like to say this is like the best site I've ever been on and everyone is doing a kickass job...keep it up -Braelyn from Alaska

Dang, now it's protected and lame and such. Now how the hell am I suppose to add witty stuff that may or may not be self-referential? That is, if that is even possible. *Sigh*... --129.21.117.115 02:27, 10 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, who's responsible for this? This sucks. --[[User:Nintendorulez|Nintendorulez | talk]] 12:29, 12 Dec 2005 (UTC)
Oh good its not just me then... actually maybe thats not a good thing. DAMNIT --Jane.orsomething 15:06, 14 Dec 2005 (Iv not idea what time thing im in, whatever one is england)
Damn! In Soviet Russia, Did knows YOU!! I wanted to add that, and now it's protectedCrazyswordsman 23:19, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

(Much later in time) There's now an easy-peasy place on the front page to submit new Did you know entries. Some of the old entries have been retained, new ones now added (thanks for those!) with the overall order juggled as "random" machine choices are not really that. While stoopit can still make it in, forget vanity crap and stealing old crap from somewhere else. --Nigel Scribbler sig2.png (talk) 10:22, June 13, 2018 (UTC)

It auto-updates now[edit]

This should work better. Rather than having to maintain the list of outcomes in {{DYKdb}}, I wrote a Lua module that parses the lines of Template:Did You Know and lists them in Template:Did You Know/doc/outcomes. {{DYKdb}} now redirects to Template:Did You Know/doc/outcomes.

It may not render <option> tags inside of other <option> tags correctly (currently this isn't a problem. No lines were lost when I compared the results). Basically it's just a script performing search-and-replace for <option>, </option>, <choose>, and </choose>.

If it breaks and I'm not around, we could go back to the old way of maintaining the list by hand. Dark Web, White Hat (talk) 01:41, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
