CHERNOBYL, Ukraine -- Despite the fire near the old Chernobyl plant, Mr. Putin said the Ukraine could, "Keep Chernobyl, we don't want it."

Ukrainian loyalists were initially pleased, but then weren't so sure. Crimean rebels and Russian troops were initially disappointed, but then decided they didn't really want to go put out the fires in that radioactive area, and agreed with Mr. Putin.

The Ukraine's leader said, "This is a proud day for the Ukraine, we have something Russia does not want."

US Presidential candidates did not comment on Mr. Putin's comments. Their publicists stated they would have no announcements on this issue until studied further to see if they can claim some political advantage from making a statement.
