For you huge fans of this page, my apologies. Doing major numbers of unblock edits contract the list to reporting only what happened today if you have, for example, "Show last" set to 100 changes (like I did). Kindly reset your "Show last" to 500 changes which will give a longer timeline. Meanwhile, I will try to keep my daily edit numbers on the task lower. -- (talk) 00:52, October 3, 2018 (UTC)

Yes, I was aware that this would be a problem, which is one of the reasons I was hesitant to start on this project. You can also click the "Hide logs" link (or use the query string ?hidelogs=1), which hides all log actions and shows only regular edits. ❦ Llwy-ar-lawr • talk • contribs • 01:10 3 October 2018

Worksforme, although some of the other links toggle between Hide and Show so I didn't think "Hide logs" worked any different. Duh. So, a non-problem now. I thought that even keeping unblocking changes down to 100 or less a day would clear out most or all the list in about a month and keep "Recent changes" useful. Years 2014 to date don't have all that much in them, thankfully. With exception of those marked open proxy and spambot (I will want to look at those), year 2008 is done.

Again with the tangential stuff. I found a user profile page with a pink box detailing past bans. User is banned again so it may not display right now because of that. Never saw this before although I am still a baby here. It seems rather cruel unless the user posted it there themselves as a badge of courage(??) It's User:Matt lobster. Not those pink boxes. You might wait until his week-long ban is up as it doesn't display now. This was down in the text area of the user page, a small (like 2"x4" on my laptop screen) rectangular pink box with a blue dotted outline. This had date, length of ban, reason, with several day-long offenses listed which is why he got a week this time. It was in view without scrolling down. Not sure if was floated over existing material or was embedded there. Thought it was something new at the time. I've run through the talk page and talk archives to see if I could have run over some link that brought it up, but I do believe it was on the user page where I saw it. This is Loch Ness Monster stuff. I shoulda taken a screencap but didn't think of it at the time. Time to make a tinfoil hat? -- (talk) 09:27, October 4, 2018 (UTC)

Nothing that I can pinpoint. I was not experimenting or fiddling with anything new around that time. The last thing I did before going to that page was writing a reply to that user on my talk page. -- (talk) 00:25, October 5, 2018 (UTC)
