Sophia is based on the term for wisdom in Hellenistic philosophy and the Gnostic deity for wisdom, though to be fair, the other Sophia probably came from Jonathan Huang's love of tubers. The other patron saint of Uncyclopedia is Oscar Wilde, a prominent 19th century Irish playwright, novelist, aesthete. What can be more intelligent (and academically pretentious) than Hellenistic philosophy and the 19th century Aesthetic movement? Now our in jokes are about black people stealing pages. Maybe a sock. But his IP was infi-banned so whoever it was is lost forever, and going through the prolonged incident with his user and talk pages and then a couple of other things (an IP talk page and an article tryng to explain his views which were both huffed) he felt sincere, frustrated and angry.
