We, the people of Uncyclopedia, don't want to scare away noobs by huffing their articles outright. Therefore, we think the official policy on {{ICU}} and VFD deletions of noob/new articles should be to move the article to the creator's userspace instead of outright deletion.

  3. Simsilikesims - But delete if its cyberbullying/vanity.

  3. Modusoperandi, VFD gives them time to fix the page and/or defend the page. ICU gives them time to put in an effort on the page that they didn't put in the effort on before they were warned that pages take effort. If they don't put in the effort, I'm not gonna take the time to put in the effort to move it and notify them of the move and delete the redirect.

How would the Noob know where their article was if it were moved to userspace? We would need to keep a redirect in the main-space, or they would not find it (we don't want that). The admin could inform each user individually on a case by case basis, but come on... Our admins are lazy as it is. Except for you Mr Admin sir reading this. You are not lazy at all. Obviously...

As it's possible to QVFD articles which are subject to ICU abuse (regardless of the articles age) we can slap a lot more ICUs on stuff and then huff after 7 days. If they don't fix it, or at least edit it in that time, they are probably not going to stick around anyway. We are suggesting a bit more moving to userspace over at VFD, but it's probably not sensible for QVFD.
