  3. Against. It was OK up until the rogue punchline at the end, which completely ruins it for me. In my view, there needs to be subtle clues that lead up to the punchline, some hint or double-meaning along the way we can go back to with the delight of having been taken for a ride and say "Oh! I could have known! It was only about a birthday all along!" As it is, unless I am missing it, it is completely rogue, and disserves the narrative. The reason I don't like rant pieces like this is that they are usually seriously unfunny. This is just another , unoriginal one in my view.   • Abstain. I believe it lacks proper meat. Where's the beef? I mean, it's amusing, but it just lacks that proper nuance that's required for feature status. Maybe if it was more like the revolutionary AVATAR, I might have given it a more positive impression. -Bretthead.png
